Marianne Nightingale - Animal Wildlife Artist

Birds

Although I have a very suitable bird name for a wildlife and animal artist, the world of birds is fascinating!  How do swallows work out to come back to our barn every year from Africa – their tiny bodies making this flight despite cruel countries catching them as they fly.  Why do Flamingoes look as if their knees are on back to front – fascinating stuff!  Although the Vulture is such an ugly looking bird, I am sort of fond of them for that reason.  They are the refuse collectors of the wild world and play an important role in some religious funeral ceremonies.
